My volunteer experience with Yarmouth Community Services (YCS) varies, depending on the need and the time of year. During the holiday season, my family sponsors a family in need. This typically consists of providing holiday gifts for children and gift cards/food items for caregivers. I have also organized community-wide gift drives and winter clothing collections, for distribution at Maine Needs, Preble Street, and local emergency shelters. In addition to providing, collecting and distributing goods for individuals in need, I volunteer coach for various YCS youth sports leagues.
